KSOU Courses Eligibility for UG Courses
For the KSOU admissions, every person has to fulfil the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for admissions in KSOU distance learning are different for both UG and PG courses.
Eligibility conditions for UG courses
Candidates should have fulfilled either one of these eligibility requirements:-
- Candidates should have passed the Two-Year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka State
- Any other equivalent examination.
- Candidates from other states who have completed 12 years of schooling
(either 10+2 or 11+1 or Higher Secondary Examination-12 Years of Schooling)
excuding Nursery Education.
- Pre-University Examination in Vocational Courses conducted by the Department of Vocational Education, Government of Karnataka.
KSOU courses eligibility for PG courses
There are two levels of criteria that need to be fulfilled for the PG admissions.
Level 1:
- Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of three years duration without studying related subjects.
- Those who have passed a three-year degree program without studying the related subjects are also eligible.
- Such admitted candidates have to qualify for the Master’s Preparatory Program (MPP) examination conducted by the Karnataka State Open University.
Please Note:- MPP does not apply to MA – Journalism and Mass Communication.
Level-2:
- Candidates who have passed three years Degree Examination (with any particular subject) of any recognised University or an examination of any University considered equivalent to.
